Importing any media through customs, especially for sale or exhibition, requires approval from the National Media Council. Approval takes a few hours or one business day. You could probably carry a rolled canvas as checked baggage when boarding your flight. This information may not be up-to-date; please check with the shipping service (national post office or private company) for customs requirements. Don't forget to also ask if your product requires fumigation before shipping, or ask airport customs and the airline about all requirements before transporting by plane.

The shipping, transportation and collection of artworks is the responsibility of the participating artist, group representative or art gallery. If your artworks, for any reason, are held up in customs for any reason ( track your parcel and check if there are any fees or taxes to pay before they block your artworks) or at the airport or by the shipping service or are lost or are unable to be exhibited at Dubai Art Show 2026 for any reason, the participant will forfeit their assigned space/s and forfeit their entire contribution to the costs as the space/s cannot be reassigned and will remain empty resulting in the loss of the full contribution to costs to participate in the "Dubai Art Show" 2026. No one other than the artist owner, artist group, artist group representative or art gallery is liable for any damage, lost or theft to artworks exhibited in the Al Falak BallRoom before during and after the exhibition period of Dubai Art Show 2026, including installation / uninstallation, collection and shipping to and from the Dubai Art Show location in the Burj Al Arab.

From 1 February 2023, the new regulation will apply to all imports of goods with a value exceeding AED 10,000 (approximately (EUR 2,500) in the UAE. Under the UAE Cabinet Decision No. (38) of 2022 on the Fees for Attestation of Commercial Invoices and Certificates of Origin for Importers in the UAE, all imports into the country must be accompanied by an invoice attested by the MoFAIC, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC). MoFAIC will levy a fee of AED 150 (EUR 37.44) for each commercial invoice of imported goods with a value of AED 10,000 or more. Attestation can be done digitally on the MoFAIC website by uploading documents. The Electronic Document Attestation Service (eDAS) website states: “Attestation is a procedure to confirm the validity of the seal and signature on documents issued in the UAE or abroad. Commercial Invoice Attestation Service is an automated online service to provide digital attestation for commercial invoices issued only in the UAE or abroad within 12 minutes.” Importers have 14 days to pay the attestation fees after the customs declaration for imported goods has been set. The exemption for import attestation fees includes:

Invoices under AED 10,000

Personal imports

GCC imports

Free zone imports

Police and military imports

Charity imports

After registering and being approved to participate in the Dubai Art Show 2026, a number with a letter or side/space specification will be assigned to each Artist or to a Group representative of the artists or to a Gallery, which will correspond to a sector, position and space in the Al Falak BallRoom ( read the page " PLANS & MAPS , and check the last two plans).

IMPORTANT : write your assigned number, your name/s and last name/s and an arrow to indicate the opening side on the largest flat side of each package in a very big size ( you can find the image to see how to do it in the page "SEND ARTWORKS WITH US, read it also if you don't want to send with us to know all the correct specifications".

You can send your work from your country to Dubai post office or private agency ( you will receive your artworks and bring them to the Al Falak BallRoom, we don't receive them ) or you can transport them directly on the airplane.

It is your choice how many artworks you put in each package, for each artwork we will assign a number so you have to communicate to us, after selection, how many artworks you will put in each package and their respective description and dimensions to give you the correct number/s to write on each package and define the assigned sector, position and space in the Al Falak BallRoom.

"REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY"

QR code

All Artists, groups representative or art galleries have to create a QR code with a text under the QR code and send it to us if selected. ( It will be asked in the Selection Form, find the form in the page "REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY").

This QR code will send the visitors to the information you want to show about you or your artworks, for example your website, social networks, pdf on drive with description and prices, your contact or the information you prefer. The QR code it will be present in the Digital Catalogue.

A text under the QR code needs to be present as an alternative to the QR code to find the information of the artworks, artist, group of artists or art gallery. In case the code doesn't work, the text can be for example an E-mail address or an Instagram profile or a website, you can choose, but the length of the text needs to be short and need to stay almost in the same space of the width of the lower side of the QR code, so not too much longer than the size of the QR code.

If you have issues to create a QR code, send only the text you want to be published in the Digital Catalogue.

An artist, a gallery or a group representative can create only one QR code for all artworks.

Artists, groups representative and art galleries can also choose to put the link of our Official Instagram Profiles if they want to be represented by the organizer for a longer period or to be represented during the "Dubai Art Show®" 2026 , here below the links :
